I am Melina Ontiveros, a freelance children's book illustrator and artist living in the North of Mexico. With my work, the goal is for my audience to reconnect with their inner child using warm vibrant colors and textures. I’d love my work to be part of the beautiful experience of human connection and facilitate self-acceptance around the world. Even though my art is focused mainly on childhood experiences, I’m open to exploring anything related to history, science, nature, spooky things, and pop culture - I always come from a place of curious love and playfulness with my art.

When I’m not drawing you can catch me enjoying my time alone curiously watching docuseries or film analysis on YouTube while eating spicy noodles, at the cinema, taking care of my cats and bunny, or spending time in nature with loved ones.
